Collaborations with Capcom
The War would not be the first time Capcom has had an outside party help design, create art or direct a game. For example the character Karin Kanzuki from Street fighter Zero 3 was originally from the Japanese SF manga Sakura Ganbare by Masahiko Nakahira. Tetsuo Hara, creator of Hokuto no Ken (the Fist of the North Star) manga, designed the wrestling characters, special moves and some backstory for the Muscle Bomber series (Saturday Night Slam Masters). Muscle Bomber featured wrestling characters in the Street Fighter universe. Susumu Matsushita, the Japanese character artist known for his work on the covers of Famitsu magazine (among other magazines) designed the characters for Maximo: Ghosts to Glory and Army of Zin. Currently Goichi Suda is directing the game Killer 7. His company the salon grasshopper manufacture inc. was established as a consortium of artists, writers, screenplay and design professionals (at no point does the web site mention programmers). It would be fair to say that Goichi has a unique style that might not translate internationally, check the Grasshopper web page to see what I am talking about.
